MyGuide2 community is our social network for Kos.  Site members can post discussion topics, photographs andvideos to their profiles and groups.  It also gives you access to post items in other areas of the site, such as the blog,classified ads, and event listings.

MyGuide2 community is arranged around Groups.  A group can be anything of interest, for example Guide2Kos has created groups for finding flats in Rhodes, jobs in Rhodes and learning Greek in Kos.  Once you are a site member, you can join a group of interest and add your thoughts and photos to the discussions.

If there is not a group that interests you, than start a new one.  Please use the search box first to see if there is a suitable group for your post.  Once submitted, the group will need to be approved by the site admin before going live, but this will usually happen the same day.

Sign into your account, click on "My Listings" choose the section of the listing you wish to edit or remove. Once you've found the listing you wish to edit or remove click on the appropriate icon under the "Action" heading to the right of your listing title. This allows you to edit or delete the post.

If you feel that a discussion is inappropriate or you have been abused on the site by other users then please contact us so that we can take appropriate action. Any Guide2Kos member who we deem to have behaved inappropriately will be banned from using the site.

From the left hand side of any page on the site there is a sign-in box where members can sign–in. Once signed in, the page will be refreshed to your My Guide 2 page,simply click on "MY ACCOUNT", which takes you to your Guide2Kos members page.  Here you will see lists all current postings and listings.  These categories can be expanded and contracted. 

From this page, simply Click on "MY LISTINGS" and find the section that you want to post in and click on the “ADD NEW” link. Simply fill in the form, agree to the terms and conditions and "SUBMIT".  

NB Whilst members can post to many sections completely free of charge there is an advertising charge for posting property, accommodation listings, enhanced business directory listings, restaurant listings and banner ads throughout the site.

In order to post an ad on Guide2Kos, or a blog posting, event or classified you must first sign up to become a member ofGuide2Kos. Membership is free and allows you to fully participate in the Guide2Kos community

Please refrain from posting content that:

• Violates any international or national copyright, patent or intellectual property laws.
• Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, libelous, invasive or any information harmful to minors
• Is of a political nature and/or is critical of any government or municipal employee of the Greece.
• Is pornographic or contains any kind of nudity, sexually explicit or perverse content
• Is racist or discriminatory towards any race, religion, creed, nationality, gender or any other grouping of individuals
• Impersonates another person, which includes but is not limited to: Guide2Kos.com employees, political figures or public figures
• Includes identifying information about another person without permission
• Is false or deceptive
• Infringes on any patent, copyright or intellectual property rights
• Can be classified as: spam, junk mail, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any unsolicited commercial advertisement
• is solicitation and is not in the designated area
• Includes links to other websites unless it is: (1) with expressed written permission of the Service (2) in the designated area for services
• That advertises the sale of anything illegal under the laws of the Greece.
• That contains software viruses
• That disrupts the normal flow with an excessive number of messages
• That uses misleading contact details to disguise the origin

Guide2Kos welcomes contributions of all kinds from property purchasers, home movers, holiday makers, advisers or anyone with valuable experience to offer our visitors. If you would like to contribute to other areas of the site please email us..

At the top of each page there is a sign-in box where members are invited to sign-in by entering their username and password. Once signed in, the page will be refreshed, simply click on "My Account" to access your Guide2Rhodes member page, which lists all current postings in all categories. From this page, click on "My Listings" and then choose "Events". Click on the "Add New" link. Complete the form, click "submit" and you´re finished.

If you are not yet a member you can join Guide2Kos for free simply click on the "Sign Up" link towards the top of each page or click here.

Guide2Kos is a community site and values contributions from its visitors. We especially invite Guide2Kos visitors to post information on upcoming events in Kos, to post to the Blog and add comments to Blog posts from other users. We also invite our visitors to take advantage of free classified advertising on the site and for those with businesses to add their free listing to the directory. All the above can be posted directly by our visitors once they've become a member of Guide2Kos.

On all general postings there is a link in the ad that says "Send Email". Unless the posting has a phone number in the text, this is the only way to contact that person. Simply fill in the form to send that person an email and we will send it through Guide2Kos. But don´t worry, they will receive it as if it came from you, and will be able to reply directly back to the email address you leave in the form.
